Objectives
Our objectives
We hope to work throughout a wide expanse of the country and with a wide group of other organizations and social groups to achieve the goals of the country, the organization, and the local community members. Our objectives are measurable, time bound, achievable, specific, and realistic and are geared to the local conditions and assessments of need:
- To raise levels of nutrition and standards of living of the peoples under their respective jurisdictions, reduce malnutrition and food insecurity that cause irreparable damage to livelihoods, thereby reducing self sufficiency through introducing sustainable food security and livelihoods improvement initiatives.
- To Increase access to education for children from poor and vulnerable groups while strengthening the quality and capacity of teachers, teaching/learning environment and institutional structures.
- To Increase sustainable access to safe water and sanitation services for men, women and children in rural and peri-urban.
- To Increase access to primary health care services to vulnerable groups and locations.
- To Increase public environmental awareness and advocacy through trainings, meetings, media etc.
- To build the capacity of local CBOs, women groups, youth groups in better management practices, service delivery etc.
- To enhance education and skills training access to youth and adults to promote employment opportunities.
- To Enhance peace building, human rights and democracy promotion.
- To implement pilot projects to create employment opportunities for target beneficiaries
- To increase the participation of women and their families in agricultural production, cultivation, processing, and wholesale and retail produce trade
- To secure improvements in the efficiency of the production and distribution of all food and agricultural products, bettering the condition of rural populations, and thus contributing toward an expanding world economy,
- To assist and train rural farmers in appropriate technology, cooperative development and management, value chain management, business development and marketing
- To educate micro and small business owners on proper business planning, management, financial controls, and help them develop skills in focused areas.
- To train farmers and managers on issues related to climate change, global warming, land resource conservation, waste reduction, recycling, reuse, and innovative approaches to sustainable land development.
- To help develop facilities and methodologies for improving the health of the micro and small business owners and others in the community to improve productivity, sustainable development, and health resources.
- To export agricultural products to other states and other countries;
- To engage in trade and training missions between Kenya and Somalia;
- To recognize events, trainings, investment, cooperatives, and any type of activity that funds the development of women in agriculture for improving health and nutrition;
- To build up strong relationships between women farmers and fishers’ families in US, in Kenya, in Somalia, and the Horn of Africa;
- To strengthen resilience among women farmers and their families t0 shocks such us droughts, floods, climate change, global warming, forced eviction from the land, and lack income;
- To train farmers about the differences between organic and GMO foods and to promote all organic farming methods;
- To educate women and their families, whether farmers or not about good health and nutrition;
- To network among women farmers to build strong collations and group to increase the power, income, and wealth accumulation of women farmers and their families wherever they live;
- To help micro and small business owners understand the internet, undertake proper research, communicate digitally and use appropriate communications technology
