On World Water Day, a collaborative effort between local organizations and international partners showcased a commitment to supporting vulnerable mothers and children in the Idaali IDP camps and host communities. This initiative highlighted the press

ing need for access to clean water and hygiene products, which are essential for the health and well-being of displaced families. The event served as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by these communities and the importance of collective action in addressing their needs.
As part of the activities on March 22, 2025, twenty water trucks were deployed to ensure that residents of the Idaali IDP camps and degsame camps received a reliable supply of clean drinking water. This significant contribution not only alleviated immediate water scarcity but also helped to prevent waterborne diseases that disproportionately affect young children and pregnant women. In addition to water trucking, soap distribution was also carried out, further promoting hygiene practices among the camp’s inhabitants.
The collaboration between local and international organizations exemplifies the power of partnership in humanitarian efforts. By working together, these organizations are making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable populations. Continued support and engagement from both local communities and global entities are crucial to sustaining these efforts, ensuring that vulnerable mothers and children have access to the resources they need to thrive in challenging circumstances.
